You both agree that war is a b*tch and that civilians get killed. What I said is that the military in general doesn't usually show a great deal of concern for civilians. I think last week was an extreme example of that supposition

I think our military now does show a great deal of concern for civilians, but not so much concern as to make it impotent if the possibility of any civilian deaths occurs.

I don't think of last weeks attacks as a military operation, or of the murderous hijackers as soldiers. I know they probably had a different opinion.
