There is not a single MAJOR chip maker that would give AMAT that much control over their operations, and there is not a single equipment maker that would agree to something like this. Typical current contracts prohibit AMAT field personnel from even LOOKING at anything else other than the specific toolset they are supporting. Many chip manufacturers also explicitly prohibit feld support personnel from looking at production recipes used on the AMAT tools themselves, or looking at the AMAT tools while running a production recipes. Don't know who at AMAT came up with this, but I cannot see anyone other than a third tier chip maker using this service.
