Thank you for that clarification. I think I understood that, but you are making a comparison, that is in my eyes, is still unfair. Apples and oranges are both types of fruit, so are tomatoes. I believe, OBL believes, but so do you. You don't believe what OBL believes and I don't believe it either. His god your god and my God have nothing in common. If you are saying he is sincere in his beliefs and that is the point of comparison, would it not also be fair to say that you are also sincere in your beliefs, and therefore you are no different than a terrorist. I don't believe that, any more than you do. I think it is shallow and false reasoning that draws such comparisons.
The content of a persons beliefs and how they apply them in the real world is what's important. I find your beliefs to be unfounded, and logically inconsistent, but I see no evidence that you would act on those beliefs in such a way as to bring harm to people you do not know, for no other purpose than bringing fear and terror into their lives. Can you honestly say that you have seen such evidence in me? If not then idle speculating about how OBL and I could hang out and be buddies, amounts to nothing more than character assassination on your part. Unless you can cite some specific examples of such behavior on my part, I believe an apology may be in order. |
