-25.7% YTD for the Buy and Hold portfolio as of 09/20/2001. The PIC list has slipped more than 10% since the WTC and Pentagon atrocities.

Here's how AIM has handled the situation:

Bought 19% more ADPT at $8.05
Bought 12% more APCC at $11.51
Bought 25% more CCU at $38.00
Bought 25% more CGNX at $20.74
Bought 20% more CLE at $13.40
Bought 17% more CSCO at $12.95
Bought 19% more INTC at $21.68
Bought 6% more LEG at $18.00
Bought 27% more MCRS at $18.50
Bought 10% more MOLX at $28.69
Bought 15% more SCH at $9.15
Bought 7% more SUNW at $8.90
Bought 1% more TLAB at $10.38
Bought 13% more TROW at $29.55
Bought 10% more VOL at $12.70

VOL, TLAB, SUNW, SCH, ERICY and ADCT are now all at 100% invested and have exhausted their individual cash reserves. Overall, however, there's still some cash left. For the entire account there's a 23% Cash Reserve and it's 77% invested.

The AIM/PIC account is now showing a 16.5% loss as compared to the Buy and Hold account being off 25.7%. So for now AIM is doing better in a terrible market while remaining pro-active. The PIC list's intent is to get us to focus on stocks with great long term history that are currently out-of-favor. AIM's intent is to get use to accumulate shares of the stocks that, once selected, continue to be under price pressure. Later, AIM will have us recover the cash reserves when the prices start to rise again.

Here's where AIM/PIC will start to sell off small portions (5%) of its holdings:

ADCT - $5.92
ADPT - $10.75
APCC - $15.11
CCU - $51.96
CGNX - $27.88
CLE - $18.31
CSC - $43.05
CSCO - $17.31
ERICY - $$6.96
INTC - $29.16
LEG - $23.55
MCRS - $25.33
MOLX - $38.25
SCH - $13.72
SUNW - $14.09
TLAB - $14.61
TROW - $39.36
VOD - $23.86
VOL - $18.02

Some of the prices may seem a bit far away from the current prices (ADCT and ERICY). That's because of the stocks using up all their cash reserves some time ago and not being able to do any further downward averaging. They'll just have to sit tight.

Best regards, Tom
