Caroline, the advertising is out for blatent pro-smoking. But it is actually mandated that the companies do anti smoking ads. I can see it now:

As Harry Truman once said, "You can print anything you want about me so long as you spell my name right." Brand awareness is what advertising is all about, it is the name not the message that counts. This deal actually puts the tobacco companies back on TV and limits their liability in future law suits. I think they won.
