This is the face of capitulation:

cboe.com

A 1.24 put/call ratio, including both equity and index options. The ratio on the equity options alone was 1.20. That, my friends, is panic. Coupled with the other sentiment indicators (e.g. the % of bearish investment advisors is higher than bullish advisors for the first time since the 1998 bear, the VIX hitting the high 40s, etc.), and we have a number of sentiment gauges flashing a market bottom. Heck, just review the last 100 or so posts. Talk about doom and gloom! Tomorrow is options expiry, so who knows what might happen then, but I'm moving up my target date for a market bottom to occur by the end of this month. Good luck to all.
