Was that before or after we threw Japanese Americans in the detention camps?
That has something to do with the subject under discussion?
Did that contribute mightily to victory? Or would we have lost had we not done so?

True, winning involved many nations. However, has the US decided that it would simply trust to the Atlantic Ocean for its defense, there is a very good probability that Hitler could have defeated the Russians or forced them to terms and done the same to the British. Would we be speaking German. Maybe. Probably not.

The pact between Japan and Germany had a lot to do with Germany declaring war on the US after Pearl Harbor.
That pact DID NOT require Hitler to commit his single stupidest blunder of the war (among many)- -declaring war on the US. That pact was a defensive pact. Had the US attacked Japan, he would have been committed to aid Japan. Since Japan attacked the US, he was committed to nothing.

Many, many writers and historians have commented on Hitler's grotesque stupidity in this matter.
