FYI FAB due use one vendor to work on other vendor equipment. I have heard many people down-play the ability for AMAT to provide service on non AMAT equipment. Bull.
Years ago I worked for Alcatel. I service Semi Equipment for IBM on Cottle Road. After a few visits working on our own equipment, IBM was so impressed with my ability, they asked me to work on other vendor's OEM equipment.
I know that FAB will use the best service for the price. It does not need to be the OEM. Also, many times FABs will solicit AMAT support for debugging their "new recipes".
So, yes AMAT can and probably will support non AMAT tools, "in the future".
