Ike,
In my part of the world there is a phrase " wearing your heart on your shirtsleeve". It roughly means someone who exposes their innermost feelings openly for all to see. It would imply that the person is sensitive, openly honest and essentially of a very admirable demeanour.
Seldom in my life have I ever seen anyone "wear their heart on their shirtsleeve" as you just did, particularily in an audience of hard ass investors as tough as this one.
I have two male children who are considerably older than yours and they are respectable, hard working and certainly intellectual enough to assure them being comfortable with themselves and making a success of their own families. I am immensely proud of them and proud of the job their mother and I did with them.
Your lengthy, "bare it all" post, which was far more than I ever could have expected or deserved to receive was as poignant and heart rendering as anything I have ever read. Perhaps the connection of two fathers and their love and respect for their families was what made it so poignant to me.
I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your innermost feelings with all of us "in public" and showing us that " the world is but one country and mankind its citizen".
May God Bless you and your family.
Regards
Richard
