As technology shrinks the world, it can and will become relevant. Non-locality means that as an event becomes shorter in time, it necessarily be comes blurred in space (becomes non-local). As it becomes more concentrated in space, it becomes distributed in time. No locality is very, very cool. It allows the possibility of transfer of information from afar.
