I was told by my brother's wife 20 years ago that if I didn't become Born Again I would go to Hell. Not maybe, but for sure. I think many denominations share this conviction. She was very convinced that Chuck Manson, if he found religion (the right one), would be ahead of me in line to Heaven. The conservative Religious Right (who put Pat Robertson up for President), seems to share similar viewpoints. I don't think these guys are THAT far from the middle or they wouldn't be able to raise a presidential candidate.
