Dear Proud to be an American Freerider Against Terrosm and its Propaganda:

Wasn't the union or the local executive committee or even the local president that came after our little overfunded pension plan four years ago. It was Big Corporate Brother in the form of Big Business in the form of My Employer in the form of the corporate suits. Big Business tried to scoop up about $1.5M in pension plan overfunding, but we said no dice. Plan was jointly controlled. If it wasn't, we'd be sucking pondwater today.

You overgeneralize a lot. When you overgeneralize, you're often wrong. You're often wrong. It pays to get one's facts straight before overgeneralizing when you post tripe such as "You do not have to worry about anyone raiding your pension plan but your fearless leaders."

There are several good books, some probably at your local library, that detail all the pension plan abuses that occurred in the early '80s. We also saw another round of such in the late '90s.

While pension plan abuse from the administering union does occur, it's just a drop in the bucket as to what Big Business has done to screw the American worker the past quarter-century.

Been there. Seen it.
