Knee jerk heroics are part and parcel of what we're seeing just now. And before you spout off self richeously about Rememberence Day remember that wars have touched the lives of many of us. I don't know you from Adam - perhaps you're the type who leads from behind? Or shouts from the sidelines encouraging the young to go off to their deaths - unless this is going to be another of these push button wars? Are you a brave man or a coward? You seem to get off accusing others of cowardice? Perhaps you could do with a dose of reading some of the war poets of WW1 - not Rupert Brooke who died before seeing action - but Sassoon, and Owen for starters.
