Let me qualify my statement: make that North African and Middle Eastern moslems. I've been there in circumstances where I could get to know people more than is likely to be the case if you're a tourist. A substantial fraction (majority? I don't know) of the people there oppose the US because of our support of Israel. (And I just ended this post with ":wq" and then erased it. Anybody know vi? Apparently I've been doing too much vi lately.)
