It's really all beginning to make sense to me now. First the "wanted dead or alive" bit, then the "we'll smoke them out" stuff, and now tonight GWB was holding up a sheriffs badge during his speech. He thinks he's Roy Rogers come to clean out the bad guys on Saturday morning tv. No wonder America loved it. Well maybe that is what we need, a simple mind with simplistic notions garnered from Saturday morning cartoons and westerns, it worked for Reagan. Once the killing starts support for this no-victory quagmire could easily slip though. More terrorism, more body bags, more dirty tricks on all sides. No one wins at war, everyone loses. War on drugs, war on terrorism, war on Iraq, war on Afghanistan, war on PLO, we've got so many damn wars going already we don't know which way is up... and how much success have any of them been? (Don't say Iraq with Saddam still in power and thousands here with gulf war syndrome).
