I think intellectually most Americans feel the risk but if they witness a car bomb going off on their street that will make it much worse. God forbid if daily we have accounts of Americans being attacked. For example, CNN:

"Today a car bomb detonated in Atlanta, 6 dead, 43 injured, two terrorists apprehended."

The worst thing would be if this became something usual we would become accustomed to as we have to all the drive-by shootings in inner-city neighborhoods. We could easily turn into an armed camp in our own country...

I agree about the Internet. It seems these people believe it is their 12th century philosophy versus our 21st. In that case, better we accelerate the export of American ideals immediately so that populations become educated and aware of the blatant hypocrisy and evil distortions of many of their leaders.

Toppling governments and replacing them with democratically elected leaders, with a Constitution STRICTLY separating State and religion would be a very good start. One of the strengths of our the United States is our freedom of religious belief, and its removal from government.
