Tom:

This is your thread. I will respect anything you say in that regard. I don't post much as I don't trust my writing and although there are many things I appreciate about the internet such as instant charts, two way written communication is very hard for me. (so far) Lurking on SI has been very beneficial to me as I try and change from a position trading investor to a daytrader. If you check Vitalsigns thread you will see that I am not succeeding in that regard, but IMHO am playing the thread well as it's meant to be played. Egos are large and fragile here. I blasted Brennan for giving the Chief a hard time about posting NSDX stocks on his own thread. I only know something happened in the past there, whether Brennan was involved I don't know, just love watching the Chief post his trades whether I agree with them or not. He went long and bullish and I couldn't believe it, but I still want to watch. It's like learning to watch the tape. Just let it happen. If you're lurking even if you disagree with my rant here Chief, don't let anyone get to you and come on back.

HOWEVER, SI must stop the type of censorship it is now showing. I couldn't believe the talk of the death of SI and I even believe there's a thread to place your bets on the day it dies. With what I've learned in such a short time from you and Russ and even GT otherwise known as Rose (would somebody fill me in?) about the market and trading is unbelievable to me. It's not that I'm really a goldbug, I guess it's just that it's what I know and what I've played in the past. As psychology plays such a big part of what we do here let me tell you this. After I had known Peter for a few years we must have talked about the markets but his ears picked up when I was playing pre-Bre-X and telling him how terrific it was that I had a programme called Micromax and could call my banks computer with my computer. He got on the internet, found SI and a great investment home and became a more than competent daytrader. It is no secret on Cush's thread the we are friends and neighbours, even Rockwellian when I have borrowed something and he has to use hammer to get the hint to me to return it, but we go on as friends and neighbours. I was the recipient of his one free membership giveaway and have tried to be a good SI citizen. He has PM'd me when something I wrote might be misconstrued. Rapped my knuckles if I wrote something too personal. Well he can call me and rap away again tomorrow. He knows I'm jealous and would like to be more a daytrader and I've never told him this, but I thought he couldn't even make a go of it with what he started with. Maybe enough for two very small positions. He goes into the mother of all bull market bubbles on a new medium and I bow out because I already think it's nuts and although I think computer to computer is okay I am fearful of trading on the internet. The rule of seven, or the seven functions of a dollar, (one of them just being one) shows us how compounding at 10% a year will double the original in seven years. There are a great many people in the market today either directly or indirectly who would love to get 10% year in and out from their brokers, mutual funds, money manangers et al, well I know SI hasn't been around for seven years and I know he's up a 10 bagger. We all have different styles and if I want to ride the profits from my 1500% gain in ARZ and be out for a long time then that is the way it is.

Some could call me suspect for re entering the market last March after watching all winter here and that feeling that I should look at the HUI instead of the XAU. I had nothing to do with the attack of course, but because it was my opinion that this market was heading for the crapper and when I play I go long gold and short industrials I could be flamed. Should I change my strategy because some terrorists attacked us, no. In fact, I'm pissed, cause the drop has been too dramatic, too fast to totally position yourself for it. Mr market will bite you in many ways.

Peter is lurking, and Slider if you're there maybe you can console him on what it's like, me too cause I might end up in jail. He is posting somewhat on IHUB, but Rarebird, and Richard and Eric are not there to learn from. Even at my old age I can learn a new trick or two. Frank Pembleton of SDII and LG from MDD have started threads there and when I noticed and posted that post numbers were missing and in jest asked Peter if there was censorship on IHUB too, the guy was on in seconds to tell me they were just duplicates cause Peter had hit the button too often, but if I liked, he would replace them immediately. Well Claude and Mr. Leblanc, what's it going to be. I mentioned Bob Johnson as my indicator that this rally might at least bring some profits like May's spike. He PM'd me as to why he doesn't post with Doug's attacks and all. I replied that he was missed and would not mention him until and unless he posted again. Welcome back Bob. Even if you don't agree with my rant and position, cast off Doug's attack and let's see if other's lurking who have learned from all those I have mentioned here will come to your defense.

There is one thing I have learned about gold, no matter which time I have played it. There is always someone who is manipulating the price, but Doug, get your head out of your ass and start giving us some straight talk without the personal attacks unless it's about freedom loving cowards. So the deal is always this, that regardless of however much it is manipulated, that too is reflected in the price, and the price will go up, and probably like 80 way higher than it should be to compensate for how long it has been kept down. Get over it and get on with it Doug and if you find the conspiracy, thanks and if not move on.

Bob

P.S. My Quiver is empty for now as I have shot all my bolts. Did I hit anything?

I just wait, as we all do now, but if my wait were disturbed by a call to serve I would. I see that piece of filth said bye to Lorne, does that mean he's leaving. BTW, I at first didn't know he had been invited here, just thought he had been brainwashed himself by too many successions of lib-left governments here dating back when that the mentor of our present PM declared the War Measures Act here in Canada and revoked every right of every citizen. The police had a field day with those of us in university in 69/70.
