Did you notice that in his landmark address to Congress, President Bush did explicitly refer to "the FBI and other intelligence agencies" and didn't name the CIA... Rather surprising since the challenge in the forthcoming US's war against world terrorism lies in its international ramifications... If anything, Pres Bush should have singled out the CIA instead of the FBI... But maybe there's good news in the pipeline: YOUR PINK SLIP IS WAITING FOR YOU, MR TENET!!

Then there was PM Tony Blair as the guest star in Bush's momentous address... I think there's sort of a subliminal message here: Bush has clearly brought Britain aboard the US enterprise, hence his veiled threat, "those who are not with us are with the terrorists", somehow is aimed at Continental Europe as well... And where was Cheney? Ooops! I asked for it: watching the whole ceremony on TV --in his Alaskan resort <g>. BTW, did Bush hint at Russia?? A fascinating address indeed!

Gus.
