Dear Gus: Roach has been spewing a pretty grim picture for Technology for some time now. I hope that eventually he will be proven to be wrong. IMHO what set America apart was its willingness to invest in new ideas and methods to operate as efficiently as possible. I think it would be a national disaster to turn away from that, for there are plenty of people in the world willing to work much cheaper then Americans would like. If we are not willing to sustain the highest productivity in the World to justify our standard of living, then that great WHOOSH of jobs going overseas that have been feared by some will come into being and we may find ourselves migrating to MEXICO. JDN
