How then would the U.S. get enough evidence (1) to demonstrate to the Muslim world that the U.S. is after the right people, and (2) to formulate a workable plan to neutralize these people?

Hi Art,

1) The Muslim world knows Al Qaida and Bin Laden are terrorists. If, as the global coalition resolve indicates, no forensic proof is needed. It becomes a moot point. Eradication of global terrorism is the objective. I don't think anyone believes chasing terrorists faction by faction through the legal process is workable. It's now "open season" on terrorists. Violent times require violent measures ( run rough shod over legalities given the urgency of the situation). I believe the world knows this and other than those countries who truly are interesting in protecting and harbouring terrorists won't harp on it. It is war.

2) The plan is in place and evolving. The plan is to use political, economic, military, covertness, financial, technological detective work, infiltration, bribery and any and all means of sleuthing possible. It is war.
