How low can it go? Useful charts available from MRCI... mrci.com In '87, both the S&P and Dow fell 30-40% in a week or so. Don't know whether program curbs or the already heavily "sold" (though apparently not "oversold") condition had anything to do with the tardier rate of decline - er, cascade - this time around... Also notable how much activity events such as these seem to create in commodity markets: Maybe the bottom will be in when there are as many posts on Soybean Investor as on Silicon Investor.
