I suspect that the institutions are avoiding this stock until after the
end of the quarter in order to avoid having a losing stock show on
their quarterly report (i.e. window dressing).

The only figures I have for institutional ownership are from Value Line:
Holdings:
1Q96 ... 4Q96
14531, 11436, 11594, 15164 (000s)

These numbers bounce around a lot, and presumably don't
include instituitions not required to report publicly (???). The total
number of shares outstanding is about 36,010,000.

Incidentally, Value Line dropped its rating of C-Cube in its June 6
investment survey from "2 4" to "4 4". That is, the stock is now
rated as untimely. They also lowered their target price for 1991-01
from $64/$110 to $40/70. Despite this, the stock is still listed as
having the 40th highest annual total returns (3 to 5 yrs). This is out
of a universe of about 1600 stocks.

By the way, I always get killed in options. Wish I had a woman
that just wouldn't let me get near those things. I've also been killing
myself for taking profits in Aames financial a little early. I'm pretty
good at picking bottoms (especially since that extremely itchy 'rhoid
problem), but I don't always hang on to them long enough. Or
sometimes too long.
