Too many words and so little to say. Don't worry so much about spelling. These are difficult times. People express opinions on this thread which are contrary to yours. Well get used to it. So your name is Lorne - what is your full name? The whole point of aliases on this thread and others is that people can post ingognito. I've no more or less to hide than anyone else. Lots of people change their aliases -some of your pals - g-t, Tom Byron - he reappeared for one post recently. But you use language which is intemperate and intolerant of other opinions. Almost filthy. I hope you would fight if you were threatened, and so would I. But some of the people here have been behaving recently like gorillas. This thread used to have more than it's fair share of NRA gun-toters some of whom seemed to be in sympathy with anti government extremists. And whose response to Oklahoma city was somewhat muted, and Waco Texas supportive even. All of this now seems to be channelled towards the "arabs" - which Afghanistan is not - but it is "arab" in peoples minds and public enemy #1 and is being set up for massive slaughter. Can we add Iraq, Lebanon, Lybia perhaps? And the public is being fed the full range of propaganda and disinformation which is part and parcel of all wars. For example the names of the hijackers were released - nearly all of these names have been discredited already. Another example - there are other terrorist masterminds even more extreme than Bin Laden - but Afghanistan is being presented with demands it cannot possibly meet and will be attacked within days. Even though no Afghani has been involved in any attack. The new Bush Doctrine 'you're either for us or against us' (and you'll be attacked if you don't comply) is a recipe for disaster. And will cause massive anti-US backlash everywhere, including IMO on the campuses of the United States within a year or two. BTW have you heard the speculation that Cheney is being kept out of the picture because of his heart condition and fear that the stress will be too much? I didn't know you were in the anti-hedging camp?
