Anecdotal casino stuff: The blackjack dealers in Reno were "suggesting" tips more aggressively on my most recent trip than I've ever seen before. "You know you can put a tip down for the dealer, right?", that sort of thing. They didn't even bother to notice that I was down at the time; the odds are slim to none that I, like most players, will start tipping the dealer when I'm already behind. Next report in a couple of weeks. I'll have an idea about hotel occupancy, general betting atmosphere, pawn shop activity and recent inventory additions (I'm serious), etc. I'll leave the analysis of rates at "the Ranches" to others. :-)
