It would be very useful for the US to coordinate a first strike with actions being taken by other countries around the world. If the Egyptian armed forces would strike a terrorist camp in their country-- likewise Russians, Iranians, Saudis, Jordanians, Indonesians, Chinese, Colombians, Sudanese, etc. at the same time-- we could show the Muslim world that this isn't cause for a Jihad but an attempt to crush all extremists capable of creating ruthless terror activities. Europeans, Asians, Africans, North and South Americans, taking out their terrorist cells in a bold, coordinated fashion. Now imagine if the Libyans and Syrians were also involved in similar actions!!
Think about how powerful the images would be!! Simultaneous worldwide strikes against extremists across the globe. Let the rats run for cover...
In such an event, we wouldn't need to get all of them on the first attempt but it would be important to get as many as humanly possible. The message sent would be amazing and would strongly restore confidence in every corner of the world.
Of course the US would be glad to assist all nations who request such help! |
