What's happening in Afghanistan now? This is just my guess. I think we probably already have military personnel in Afghanistan. Special service types who are working with local rebels there. Well, actually the rebels are the legitimate opposition to the Taleban who have to remain in hiding from them. We probably have Seals and Rangers and quite likely a few SAS or SBS people from Britain. The groundwork to get Bin Laden and his scumbag cohorts is already being done, IMHO, because our leaders know the Taleban will not simply hand him over. Plus, we need to put fear in their hearts by striking at them on their own turf. JMHO, of course.
Anyone else see McCain on CNBC saying the Taleban ought to be punished for their treatment of women even if they hadn't attacked us. In Afghanistan, women are not even allowed medical treatment and widows have been buried ALIVE in mass graves under the Talebans. We have to stamp out this evil like we did with the Nazis!
