KKirby, You may want take a look at ACT-USA's (ADVC) patent pending technology before you write them off. Remember, QCOM's patents relate to a hardware implementation of CDMA and do not cover software radio, therefore there's no licence fees due when you implement CDMA in software radio. I believe mobile wireless carriers will find this and other aspects of ACT-USA's technology very attractive. QCOM has been confronted by ACT-USA's ability to support CDMA in software but are trying to ignore it due to threat to their licence revenue stream. Soon the weight of evidence will be undeniable.
