Thanks for the "onsite research"- I just have to ask! Were there any slot machines inside the restaurant being played by Dolly Parton and Vince Gill?-but really, did the "ambience" rival the HARD ROCK as far as memorabilia goes. And was the music too loud for a good reason? thanks,jh
Ok, here we go....... <g>
No Dolly or Vince, and if I remember correctly, I don't even remember seeing any slot machines in the place.
Ambiance? Well, like I said in an earlier post, I would have liked to eat there as it looked really comfortable. There was no blaring music, but there was atmosphere music that didn't overtake you. We only passed the inside very little when we saw nobody inside. The music was more heard in the gift area but was not overpowering.
Memorabilia? Most of the things we immediately saw was gold records on the wall, but didn't see anything like you would at Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock Cafe. I do want to point out too that across the street from CAFE, a Harley Davidson theme club is being built. I don't know what that will do as far as attracting any folks to this area of the strip. Personally, I don't see a Harley theme as being profitable but the club will be small like the CAFE one so it could be profitable by staying small for the folks who want to go inside.
Overall, I think it is a nice place but I don't like Country Music. <g> My wife thought it was nice also and she likes Country Music. I have to only guess that nobody is visiting because of the location. IE: Not next to any large casino/hotel to make it worthwhile to walk down the strip to see it.
I have been watching the stock and was waiting for a visit before making up my mind on getting in or not. I will now probably do some more research on it and see if I think it could be profitable as far as an investor.
I guess I was hoping for a mini-Branson when I went there. By being so, they could maybe play off of the vacationers to Vegas that may not get to Missouri.
