Anybody as tired of the 'national hymn' as I am? I know there was a bit of discussion about this here earlier this week. Christ, I'm sick of it. God Bless = Gag Me with a Spoon. I've always preferred "The Stars & Stripes Forever" over all other 'patriotic' anthems anyway. Marching music, ain't it? Sousa. YEAH! Let's GO!! Not to war, 'for heaven's sake,' but back to living life. Played by any symphony of repute, this is motivational 'get charged up,' feel-good music. Although, "Nessun Dorma" does the same for me. As does T's 1812 Overture. As does Steve Winwood's "While You See a Chance, Take It." -g- As national anthems go.
