I really do not think we are hateful. We are all struggling with grief in our own ways.

We have progressed through denial, anger, fear, and bargaining. Bush showed tremendous maturity last night.

He also has showed his humanness as he progressed through the stages of grief.

We as a nation have resolved to do what we should have done a long time ago. Root out oppression throughout the world. We have accepted and are resigned to our fate.

It is a terrible tragedy that has befallen upon us.

My wife's cousin was in the lobby of the WTC when the first plane hit. He was thrown across the floor into the wall, breaking his leg. Some people found him and helped him get out, but they were urging him to let go of his bag. He had over $50,000 of the company's money in it, and wouldn't let it go.

There are so many horror stories. Watching the plane hit the tower is something no human should suffer.

And there are wonderful stories.

The unity across the political and geographical boundaries is genuine.

But, sometimes you need to give a friend a little room to work out his grief. It is good to know that he has friends that can be counted on, unconditionally. And sometimes, that is enough.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Walter
