I'm glad you're getting your shoulder looked at. If you haven't used it properly for more than 2 or 3 months, no doubt you will have some work to do to get it back in commission. I've found that canoeing has really helped to get my shoulder working better -- each trip seems to leave me with a bit more movement than I had before. Just sorry that there are probably only about 4-6 more weeks of paddling before the water starts getting down to that temperature where it's dangerous if you flip.

Uhm...yep. Well, Chretien may not have been there I guess. Actually, I don't know, but I guess not. However, he already pledged support to the US last week, so it's not really any big news. Also, Canadian airports took many of the re-routed flights and almost all US-bound international flights on Sept. 11th. The blood donor clinics were running at full capacity up here that day and the next. All of our city hospitals had their staff on standby for a week, with an open-door policy to take any overflow that might need to be sent up for care from NYC. The large U.S. embassy in our city is getting extra security. So, I guess people up here will do whatever they have to to help out. Don't really think having Chretien go down there was necessary. Just hope GW learns his name. Last year, he called him Prime Minister Poutine (a kind of Quebec french-fry dish with gravy and cheese curds on it) on This Hour Has 22 Minutes... Hopefully someone straightened him out on that since then.
