Amir, may be, they're sure looking for this kind of evidence everywhere. Still, Tice might have a point, in that DAL and U had roughly the same increase in short interest as AMR and UAL.

Perhaps the terrorists just shorted all airlines indiscriminately (they hadn't yet decided which flights they were going to hijack?), along with re-insurers ... but these are rather 'obvious' -- they would have done almost as well shorting the major indices, where their actions would have been virtually impossible to trace.
