The Taliban brought down the plane in the Sang Solad area of the province, which borders Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Molvi Najeebullah, Afghan consul general in Peshawar, Pakistan, was cited as saying. The Taliban rejected President George W. Bush's ultimatum to turn over Osama bin Laden and members of his terrorist network, which are accused of destroying New York's World Trade center and damaging the Pentagon, and vowed a holy war against any invader.
