And that's how creating democratic societies work.. It takes time and often you take 2 steps back for every 3 steps forward. Democratic values are learned, not inherited. Tolerance for one another, and respect for both the rule of law, and each other's personal rights can take generations to nurture.>>>>>>>>>>> Nice rant, and may I add that after we are through with our show of force, we go about doing for the Middle East what we did for Japan and Europe after WWll. We prop up their economies with great infusions of American dollars. We make sure that the people have access to the latest technologies available. We make sure that the fiber optic and telecommunications industries get the opportunity to install and implement the systems that will eventually hook these people up to computers, cell phones and PDAs, so that they are propelled into the 21st century ASAP.
