I am saying only that humans are physical, and spiritual beings. The attempt to dichotomize that has failed. I realize the attempt on my part to illustrate that by an allusion to a biblical example of wisdom was lost on you, since you totally missed what I was trying to say. Since all you know of the Bible seems to come from reading what others have to say about it by way of infidels.whatever, I am not surprised you missed the intent of the illustration. The State is made up of human beings. It has no life apart from that. So the real split that takes place is not between two institutions, but between two aspects of humanity.

The story from 1st Kings 3: illustrated that the one who insisted on the split obviously didn't care that the child would be killed in the process, thereby revealing that she was not the mother. Who is asking for the child to be split? Why it's the Atheists. What does that tell you?

Let me say it real slooooowwwww for you. Are you ready?

here I go..........

The way separation of Church and State has been applied....

forces Atheism to become the State religion......

Ready? .......

Since Atheism classically makes a religious truth claim that there is no God...
.

.
.
the State therefore, becomes a promoter of a religious truth claim.

"Obviously, there can be no true freedom of religion if any particular religion is allowed to govern". (INCLUDING ATHEISM)

Hence...the goal of separation of Church and state is a laudable one, although practically it has failed,"....

Because Atheism makes as many truth claims as any Church, you're back to square one. Only now, you have a dead kid on your hands.
