I think we both know why the highways today are full of SUVs It was a 'loophole' exempting 'trucks' from the tougher mileage standards passed by Congress .. it's why the 'station wagon' a 'car' legally .. has all but disappeared .. SUV's=trucks=relaxed mileage requirements .. Jim in Ct .. who drives a 'diesel' Jetta @ 50MPG ..
