OB, I have several words to say about the aftermath of the horror .......... I was this morning with my 82 year old mother on Union Square and 14th Street in NYC, we saw the pain and mourning on the faces of people it is very sad and natural .................. but IMHO it is time to pick up the pieces and move forward .............. more mourning and more agony will not bring back the dead .............. it will only kill the living and life to precious to be lost in agony.
American and the world should rise to action to get rid of those who try to change our way of life take us back to the middle ages ............ and not by those deplorable action against innocent Arab Americans ............... those macho's who are so "American trough and trough" should volunteer to the US Army or better spend their energies against the Taliban's in Afghanistan if they are so "hot" to do something.
AS to doing ........ it is very sad IMHO that the TV Networks and the Media in general are still fascinated by this horrible disaster.
It is about time to move forward to prove to the world that we are a vibrant and productive society accepting between us all people and ethnic groups if they have one thing in mind to advance and prosper within the law.
On more note that sadden me -------- that people are afraid to fly ---------- what type of sissy attitude ...... all those to be ashamed of themselves that they do not have guts and go about their lives as before ......... but bend like straws in the wind.
I want to add on more thing ......... My mother she is 82 years old, frail, lost her husband to cancer 7 months ago ...... suffered under the communist regime in Romania, in W.W.II was deported to working camps by the Nazi regime ........ and today she has not changed her schedule to fly ........... she flies as previously scheduled.
Her flight was canceled by Delta due to lack of passenger and possible other reasons ............... guess what ......... she changed to another American airline departing from Newark, NJ ........... no complains of fear or unease ........ just unhappy that it will take more time to travel to the airport.................... yes and she loves life and she is 82 years old and her cat is also accompanying her.
What is needed is not big words, no writing "US stands Tall " on walls or waiving the flag .............. what is needed is action go ahead with your plans visit Disney Land, take your cruise, build or renovate your home if you planned so, fly as planed and go ahead with your previous plans.

Yes remember the horror and the pain that followed, be more aware of your surroundings, of suspecting people, of suspected packages ....... routine behavior in other place in the world, but move ahead act and produce and prosper. Tell the networks to get back to the usual business, WTC will be cleaned out and rebuild ........... show us the new plans and how NYC will lock in the future no the wounded NYC ........... but healed NYC.
I am not nationalistic by nature to the contrary quite cynic but some were I feel enough is enough with the national self-pity.
