Better watch those open manholes. Looks like you just walked into a classic case of underestimating the power of brand name and advertising. If the past 20 years have taught us anything, it's that Intel parts can be sold for a premium over AMD parts at the same speed. This has been true on every single processor generation. Even if you were to erase the megahertz numbers from all CPUs, and do a blind comparison, The Pentium 4 is the world's fastest desktop processor. Period.

AMD has to sell their processors at garage sale prices, and even has to use phoney model numbers in a lame attempt at keeping their market share. Face it. They are falling behind, and are being beaten by a "crock" of a processor.
