Joe- I think that's nonsense. There were safety precautions in place. Although the security procedures are not that great, more thorough checks would not have stopped them. They used box cutting knives with plastic handles that were not detected by metal detectors. They had good ID. They looked like any other middle eastern businessmen. And once the hijacking started, I'm sure that the pilots followed standard government mandated hijacking protocols.

It is unconscionable to try to blame the airlines or the government, when the fault for this tragedy is so obvious. The lawyers who bring tort cases based on absurd theories of liability in order to find a "deep pocket" are the one motivated by Greed and Profit.
