That's pretty much as I see it too.

I have read many books from over 12 religions. I grew up here in the bay area during the "self enlightening period" 60s - 70s.

Some of the words of Buddha and Krishna are among my favorite.

I am a Mormon as baptized so Smith and Chris are many of my closest thought.

I have learned that most religions when read for positive attributes, the words are similar and their intentions too. That is, “be a good person, never intentionally hurt another living thing, all life is part of God, it is your intentions that matter not the results of action, your thought are your intentions, think positively, failure to do so brings you closure to the “Dark Side”

Think and try to be good.

That is pretty much as I see it.
