A soul is that thing which animates us. That is my definition. It is the software to our hardware. It is eternal in that it lives in many spaces. I'm convinced that writers of the past have preserved their souls. Their souls live on when we have nothing else left of them. There is frequently an assumption that this is all mystical. It is not mystical, it is naturalistic. The sooner people recognize this, the better we'll all be.
