Based on nothing more that the 1 year chart below which is showing Linear Regression Channels you can see the $COMPQ is heading towards the lower band after falling through the mid line band last week. angelfire.com In an effort to forecast a possible short-term bottom I am focusing on a 5-year time frame and have placed 2 support lines on the chart. The lime colored line is next support. The first one was breached late last week so the next long term support level is at 1343. angelfire.com Although it is a little hard to see in the above chart, the stochastic is showing an extreme state of an over-sold market. No confirmed buy signals are present. I consider 1343 critical support.
