Good grief! Implying that The Economist is liberal is about as far off reality as I have ever seen in any comment. The Economist has a reputation for being pro free trade, pro free market, and VERY conservative in its financially oriented policies. As for Rubin, he is considered the best Secretary of the Treasury since Alexander Hamilton, and absolutely the best in his knowledge of how the financial markets work. He is neither conservative nor liberal, but is knowledgeable--the only word that would describe him--and far better at policy making than the current Treasury Secy. Paul O'Neill ever thought of being.

Too many other questionable points in your comments to treat individually. Suffice to say that the economy is much better than you suggest, and companies that make essential products, particularly those which are technology based, are not going to curl up and die.
