Derick,
The companies I buy are those with great technology, leading market positions and great prospects for the future, not necessarily in that order. As venture capitalists are fond of saying, I look for companies with "real estate," whose advantages will not be wiped out in one or two quarters. Most importantly, I look for companies whose products have tremendous market potential.
Amati meets most if not all of these requirements. For this reason, I will continue to buy this stock as opportunities present themselves.
While it is not appropriate to presently judge Amati on the basis of earnings, earnings are all I care about with respect to my other, more mature stock holdings. The general market psychology, inflation, interest rates, recession, etc. . . are all BS compared to good earnings. The recent, sustained surge of my Oracle stock is a good example.
Best of luck to you. Smell that market panic and BUY, BUY, BUY! Now is when you separate the wise from the fools. |
