<lol> You've got to be kidding, Art.

You don't post here for a long period of time. Then you come back with a post like that?

Chill out, man !!

The Economist is the last place I'd be looking for investment advice, "conservative" (which, THEY ARE NOT) or otherwise.

If they were financial conservatives AND good forecasters, they would be pro, NOT anti-gold. And they wouldn't have made that laughable and melodramatic cover story call about crude going to $5/bbl in early 1999. I don't think you know the difference between a liberal wolf falsely claiming his sheepskin makes him a conservative.

Or, has the Economist attacked the BOE selling 1/2 of Britains gold at fire sale prices? .

Hope you weren't shorting oil on their advice back then.<g>. That "conservative"? advice lost their followers tons of money over the next several years!

And as for Robert Rubin? The smartest thing he did was get out before the bubble burst.<lol> Like Greenspan and Clinton, instead of pursuing policies of solid, steady, sustainable growth the the only thing they were "great" at was overstimulating the economy and setting us up for one of the greatest busts of all time!

Is that what you call good government?.
