Robert there is nothing personal in this. I am a liberal to the core but I utterly despise the turn to statism that the liberal movement took. I rant not against liberalism but statism. To me liberalism means the concept of freedom of mind action and belief. It embraces reaching out to discover and embrace truth. TO conserve is then to hold on to a truth that has been discovered that is valid. The mind must always remain ready to challenge a truth that has been accepted in the light of new evidence. I despise Robertson and Falwell as they represent an assault on rational thinking with the same contempt as I do the fanatics of the PC religion. Good luck
