A lot of people are trying to equate our current economic state with that of Japan, and hold the thesis that just like in Japan, where the markets are now at 17 years lows, and have an economy that is standing still or declining, we will undergo a similar very long term retrenchment. I have said many times before and will repeat again, Japan would not be in this sorry state if it was less xenophobic and had a more liberal immigration policy. We do have a liberal immigration policy, and that policy is one of the main engines of our growth, and is also one of the main reasons we will not suffer the lengthy downturn Japan is now experiencing.

Unashamedly wearing my Bull Horns.
