US planes land in Uzbeistan , ex-Soviet bases for possible Afghan attack asia.dailynews.yahoo.com Interesting situation for the Soviets...there is very little infrastructure in these locations to support these kinds of opps ...but here we are now positioning in the north. It's so remote.... On one hand they may not want our influence ther , and the possibility of an extended stay ....and on the other hand after all is said and done , we leave , and leave them with whatever situations that are not resolved . Looks like they may be thinking --->much will be resoved. And there are still generals that haven't forgotten our earlier contribution to their own defeat . Tragedy and fate ...things are moving ahead rapidly and make strange aliances .
