I agree with that, however, I think, as readers, we should feel comfortable asking posters about their sources. I just read an interesting article on various ethnic groups within Afghanistan but have no idea just how seriously to take the argument. I checked the source and the author but could not get a clear answers. Seems to me it makes sense not only to ask the poster but to expect the poster to try to find some answer.

There is a great deal of very bad stuff wandering around the internet these days, on precisely these issues. But, of course, I did not need to tell you that.
