In my opinion your Falwell post shows me who is a bigot. I see some of your post making good points. But others show a very narrow minded intolerant individual.

All opinion that I have seen expressed by Farwell fall within an expected spectrum that I do not consider bigoted.

It is a fact that some subset of Muslims teach hate in their interpretation of Islam. I have no doubt the some co called Christians also teach hate. Could it be that Rev. Farwell has the wrong perceptions? Yes, but expressing reservations is not bigotry. But I see bigotry in your interpretations.

As to gay or straight, a person who chooses to live and engage in homosexual practices is not living according to the law of God as defined by founding tenants of the faith of every major religion. A person who declares they are gay or lesbian and fight for gay or lesbian open lifestyles are committing the sin of scandal. Now you can accept that or not but those who do accept it would conclude that open gays and lesbians have a problem with what is defined as morals and character. Folks can argue if this does damage to society or not. But no-one is calling for some to burned at the stake. Well I not sure how Islam handles this.

Speaking out about what one finds immoral and condemning the actions that define it is not bigotry. This is a belief in what is right and wrong.
